How to set a dimension ?

  • In the current dimension block (left panel), click the pen button
  • Select the dimension or cycle you want in the combobox

Expressions are set when you create an analysis.

How to join data to geographic data ?

In order to join the two, you must ensure that both your data and your geodata share a field or column with common values, called a key.
This is often a name or ID code. In your data table, these identifiers must be unique, meaning one row per name or ID.
Joining works by "adding" fields from your data table to the geodata attribute table based on matching values found in the key columns.

In GeoQlik :

  • In the first step, select the join layer and the join field

How to create a drill map ?

A drill map is a map with transitions between layers. To make a drill map in GeoQlik you need a cycle on geographical dimension in your QlikView document.
For example if you have the country names and the region names in your dataset, you can create a cycle with these two dimensions.
If you have made an analysis on the country layer, and another on the region layer, GeoQlik can change the current dimension automatically by zooming in or out and refreshing the Qlikview Document.
  • In the current dimension block (left panel), click the pen button
  • Select the cycle you want in the combobox (identified with the green arrow on the left)
  • When it's done, click the Apply button
  • New buttons appears in the current dimension block
  • Click on the transition icon to set the visibility for each dimension
  • You can check the automatic transition if you want to change dimensions by zooming in or out
  • You can change the current dimension manually by clicking the cycle button or selecting a dimension in the combobox dimension cycle
